Before you leave the scene of the accident, you’ll want to exchange information with the other driver, call the police, and collect evidence by taking pictures and talking to witnesses. These are the first steps in building a case and documenting your personal injury claim.

If you are under the care of a doctor or are being sent to physical therapy, be sure and keep all your appointments and do what the doctor says. As you start to feel better, you might feel like skipping an appointment or two and getting back to your normal routine.
